SOBRE INDULACSA

Industria LÁctea Salteña is a booming Uruguayan business which has achieved the first position as exporter of dairy products of this promising South American country thanks to the efforts of all the people involved. This success is due to the well known quality of its cheese and the way in which its production has been organised.

Certainly, Indulacsa has attained a strategic organization which has been closely tested in its two productive plants. The first one, located in CARDONA, heart of the dairy region in Uruguay, is a plant planned for the production of cheese and sub products with high productivity levels, which, due to its high rotation, combines an unbeatable quality with accessible prices which enable an economy of scale. Our CARDONA plant specialises in the production of semi-hard cheese, mozzarella and butter.

The productive profile of this plant combines perfectly well with the one located on the outskirts of the city of Salto, second most important town after the capital city of Montevideo. The productive plant of Salto features a more restricted production, but aimed at Gourmet products. In fact, the cheese produced by the plant in Salto, Reggianito, Fontina, Edam, Edam (round), etc, are specially known to have achieved a unique balance between the benefits of using state of the art technology without leaving aside the artisanal flavour. Our products comply with the HACCP Food Safety Standards. And as can be seen in this site, they have been widely recognised and have obtained prizes both locally and internationally. The most recent example is the Cheese of the Year award at Mercolactea 2010.
